So...I have to do some catching up...since I have not been on my blog for about 3 months!!! Craig's grandpa turned 80 years old and he invited the entire family to come to Maui. We couldn't believe what we heard when Craig's mom told us that we are all going to MAUI in the beginning of January...we were so happy to get to see PAPA and to also be able to go back to the place we got married at :) Originally, we had planned for Craig to go to Maui over Christmas break to be with his Papa for his birthday. We could only afford for him to go and I was going to stay home. I guess when Craig told his parents he was going to Maui it sparked the conversation about getting the entire family to MAUI for Papa's birthday and a few weeks later we got the call that we are all going!!! We were so happy!!!
It was super fun but too short. We hung out with Craig's family most of the time and were beachin' it pretty much the entire 5 days we were there. We did go to our favorite sushi restaurant in Kapalua. We went there during our honeymoon at never had such good sushi since then...so we celebrated out 1st anniversary at SANSAI! Towards the end of the trip, the big birthday celebration took place and we got to go whale watching!!! I had never been whale watching and was really excited. It turns out that we got to have the best whale watching experience EVER! Two whales were playing with our catamaran the entire time we were out! The evening was concluded with a great dinner at PAPA's restaurant. All I can say it was super fun and Craig and I cannot wait to go back....hopefully this summer!!!
